About Fuzzy Green Designs
Fuzzy Green Designs was founded in 1998 in San Jose, CA by Dustin M. Waibel, our current Lead Interaction Designer. Fuzzy Green Designs was created after Dustin had spent a few years of designing Web sites for friends and family, including his personal web site, thedustball.com.
The Story of "Fuzzy Green"
"Fuzzy Green came from several brainstorming sessions. My buddy Zack and I were tossing about ideas for the name of a design studio. I believe we came to 'Fuzzy Green' by crossing my nickname (Dustball) and my favorite color.
"Later that week I sat down with my then-girlfriend Jen (my now-wife) to hash out logo ideas. I happened to glance over and see my wife's Grinch slippers. It cracked me up because they were both fuzzy and green. My original logo was just a straight scan of a section of the slipper. The current logo has been tweaked a bit to look less like a slipper."

Zack Alves Marketing and Design Guru Zack has been involved with Fuzzy Green Designs since it's inception in 1998. In his regular role at FGD, Zack is responsible for writing and designing collateral that ties in with site designs, and also for writing site copy for sites that need that work done. He's also kind of like Fuzzy Green's "pinch hitter." When we need someone to come in and really make something sparkle (or we need help getting out from under an avalanche of work!) we call Zack in to make sites shine. |
